Through performances created collaboratively by experts in and outside of the arts, Kaimera Productions [kai-mee-rah] provides platforms for audiences to come together in dialogue and examine some of the hardest questions our global society faces. Kaimera creates original performances and live experiences that blend theater, music, dance, multimedia, visual arts and more. Along with presenting work in traditional performance spaces, we often choose more unconventional settings, such as abandoned locations, historical monuments, public spaces, etc., in order to make our work more accessible to a wider public, which is less likely to attend the theatre. Kaimera Productions has been very active since its inception, with its first production, JUPITER (a play about power), presented by La MaMa E.T.C in New York, and the second, The Shared Prince, presented by the OuiShare Festival at Cabaret Sauvage in Paris. Based in NYC and Paris, Kaimera is creating projects in five countries, including a piece that invites audiences to examine the impact of their online fingerprint, as well as question the ethics of data privacy in Bengaluru (India), and a multi-disciplinary performative celebration of the lives of individuals killed in conflict to be presented simultaneously in NYC, Paris, Istanbul and Dubai.
