The Heath Gallery, located in a landmark townhouse in Central Harlem’s historic Mount Morris Park district, is one of a row of eight Queen Anne style houses designed by Alfred Zucker & Co. in 1886. The historic exterior contrasts the modern interior filled with an ever-changing array of vibrant and thought-provoking works by established and emerging contemporary painters, sculptors, photographers, textile and mixed media artists. Past exhibitions have included works by Thomas Heath, Xenobia Bailey, Aleathia Brown, Marlene Ware, Robert Daniels, Lawrence Joyner, BuJo Williams, Betty Thornton and Daren Chambers.
Gallery directors, Thomas and Saundra Heath, organized and lead the Harlem Gallery Owners Coalition designed to increase awareness of the Harlem art market.
