Artist Bio:
Michelle (AMMAE) Payne is a Performance Artist, Writer and Self Enrichment Educator. She conducts workshops at academic institutions and community based organizations where she utilizes creative writing, theater arts, visualization and movement to help others explore themselves and identify their talents. AMMAE has traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa where she conducted a workshop with young children. She believes that the purpose of life is to make encounters with people from various backgrounds; to learn, to exchange and to grow. Her goal is to empower every workshop participant and spectator about the artist within. AMMAE has performed at Manhattan Center, The Apollo Theater, the 80th Annual Oscar Awards Ceremony at the Kodak Theater, Aaron Davis Hall, StandUpNY, St. Nicks Pub, Shrine World Music Venue, Iguana’s, Restoration Plaza and CUNY. She enjoys the arts and working with people. This is her venture into helping individuals to explore their creative selves.
